This quilt has short running stitches called Kantha. There are two sarees sewn together to make this lightweight, cozy throw.

Perfect for snuggles, picnic blanket, beach blanket, pet blanket, baby blanket, making curtains, table cloth, bed cover, etc. Dogs love them!

Note: this is vintage fabric ie, worn as a saree in a past life. The are NO patches, holes or stains on this quilt. They are hand sewn and by women artisans in India. Rest assured these quilts have been washed twice, once in India and once in a washing machine by me, Mary. They are squeaky clean.

The same quilts run $100 to $120 on other sites. Sure, you can get cheap ones on Etsy, but I assure you, they will have stains—often feces or blood, rips, tears, and patches. You get what you pay for.

Hand-sewn Kantha throws are crafted by female artisans in villages throughout India. The one-of-a-kind throws are quilted from reclaimed cotton saris using different types of threads and a traditional embroidery technique called Kantha. Each side is different and will delight and surprise you when you open your Kantha throw.

Each vintage Kantha throw is reversible. No two are alike; color intensity, size, and patterns vary considerably. There will be different fabrics sewn together, adding to its true handmade nature and eclectic feel. Each one is as unique as the artist who hand-made it.

India is known for recycling, and you can do your part with each purchase to reduce the amount of waste and support an artisan in India.

Returns

The inventory is always changing and we are unable to fully manage it due to the fact that many parties are involved, which includes our warehouse and factory. The stock can change at any moment. Be aware that your order may be out of stock when the order is placed.

Our policy is valid for 30 days. We cannot exchange or refund your order if it has been 30 days since you purchased it.

You can only return a product when it's unopened and in the same condition as when you first received it. It must also be returned in the original packaging.
